Shoku Tsubaraya is in the cooking club and his name is based off of shokuji (meal) and tsubu (grain) Hazu Kashibuchi is based of of hazukashi, meaning shy, his hair covers his eyes as if he was shy about his face Horuda Puresu can be read as "hold place" and means placeholder in japanese sakyu basu is a way of writing "succubus", she is apparently a rumoured succubus raibaru is just a way of writing rival like with asu rito or sunobu, raibaru was the og rival megami saikou means highest goddess, it's a bit of hyperbole but megami's position as class president and her intimidating nature make her godlike (I couldn't find anything about Hanako's name, it just has as much meaning as a typical japanese name imo) the translation of osoroshidesu roughly means scary, Osoro Shidesu is a powerful and intimidating character Mida Rana or midarana means slut, Mida Rana is seen as very promiscuous Muja Kina or mujakina means innocent, she is portrayed as a fairly innocent character Asu Rito is similar to Sunobu in that it's a japanese pronunciation of "athlete", Asu Rito is sporty and athletic Okaruto means occult and Oka Ruto is in the occult club Kizana means snob and her last name is a play on how snob would be pronounced with a japanese accent, Kizana being a mega snob Amai Odayaka means Sweet Calm and she is a baker who is very nice and mild Osana's name is literally referring to the Osananajimi trope, aka the "girl next" door trope and guess what she's the love interest's neighbor Just because he changed a lot of these (except for rivals) in the july 1st build doesn't mean we can't make fun of them Here's a list of less-than-serious names and their explanations.
